Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By using Scout, you agree to be bound by these conditions which define our relationship with you as a user.

1. User Responsibilities

As a user of Scout, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.

  • Adhere to all applicable local, national, and international laws.
  • Not misrepresent your identity, eligibility, or credentials when applying through Scout.

2. Platform Usage

Scout grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to use the platform. You agree not to use Scout for any purpose prohibited by these Terms.

Prohibited Actions

The following will result in immediate suspension:

  • /Attempting to reverse-engineer any portion of the software.
  • /Using automated systems to scrape or extract data from Scout.
  • /Interfering with the proper working of the platform.
  • /Attempting to manipulate the feed ranking or recommendation system.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on Scout — including text, graphics, logos, images, and data compilations — is the property of Scout or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

The “Scout” name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of Scout. They may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not Scout’s without prior written consent.

4. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account without prior notice or liability, at our sole discretion, for any reason including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use Scout immediately ceases. To close your account voluntarily, contact us via the link below.

5. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use Scout. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement. If we discover a user is under 16, their account and data will be deleted without notice.

Users aged 16–17 should ensure they have the appropriate parental or guardian consent required by the laws of their country of residence.

6. Limitation of Liability

Scout is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scout and its operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Liability Cap

In no event shall Scout's total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the platform exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Scout in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $50. Scout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Scout does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any opportunity listed on the platform. Opportunities are sourced from third parties — always verify deadlines and requirements directly with the awarding organisation.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Scout is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scout's country of incorporation.

If you are a consumer located in the EU, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
